FTL Kits was started in 2017 in the city of Fort Lauderdale, FL as a way to showcase football lifestyle in south Florida. While football in the US is often viewed as a rich kid/”soccer mom” sport, our aim is to showcase the sport in its unique south Florida flavor. Fort Lauderdale has a rich history in football (soccer) , marked by the presence of various professional teams, leagues, and notable events. The city gained prominence in the football world during the 1970s when the Fort Lauderdale Strikers, a team in the North American Soccer League (NASL), became a dominant force before the creation of MLS. Fort Lauderdale later saw the establishment of the Miami Fusion FC, a Major League Soccer (MLS) team, in 1998. The city again saw a resurgence in football prominence with the arrival of Inter Miami CF, an MLS expansion team founded by David Beckham and others in 2018 with its stadium ,DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. The city is also home to several top tier academies such as Paris Saint-Germain Academy, which has its headquarters in the city, FC Miami City and several others.
